Payment Methods

Add, update, or remove payment methods for your SimpleStaff subscription.

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods for subscription billing:

Credit Cards

  • • Visa
  • • Mastercard
  • • American Express
  • • Discover

Debit Cards

  • • Visa Debit
  • • Mastercard Debit
  • • Bank-issued debit cards

Enterprise Plans: Invoice/wire transfer and ACH payments are available for Enterprise customers. Contact sales for details.

Adding a Payment Method

Go to Billing Settings

Navigate to Settings → Billing from the main menu, or click your profile and select "Billing."

Click "Add Payment Method"

In the Payment Methods section, click the "Add Payment Method" button.

Enter Card Details

Enter your card number, expiration date, CVC, and billing address. All fields are required.

Set as Default (Optional)

Check "Set as default payment method" if you want to use this card for all future charges.

Save

Click "Save Payment Method" to add the card to your account.

Updating a Payment Method

To update an existing payment method (e.g., new expiration date):

  1. 1.Go to Settings → Billing → Payment Methods
  2. 2.Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the card you want to update
  3. 3.Select "Edit"
  4. 4.Update the expiration date or billing address
  5. 5.Click "Save Changes"

Note: You cannot edit the card number. To use a new card, add it as a new payment method and then remove the old one.

Removing a Payment Method

  1. 1.Go to Settings → Billing → Payment Methods
  2. 2.Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the card
  3. 3.Select "Remove"
  4. 4.Confirm the removal in the popup

Important: You cannot remove your default payment method if you have an active subscription. Add a new payment method first, set it as default, then remove the old one.

Changing Your Default Payment Method

The default payment method is automatically charged for your subscription. To change it:

  1. 1.Go to Settings → Billing → Payment Methods
  2. 2.Find the card you want to use as default
  3. 3.Click the three-dot menu (⋮)
  4. 4.Select "Set as Default"

Payment Security

PCI Compliant

We never store your full card number. All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor.

256-bit Encryption

All payment data is encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption during transmission.

Troubleshooting

My card was declined

This can happen for several reasons:

  • Insufficient funds
  • Incorrect card details (number, expiration, CVC)
  • Card issuer blocked the transaction
  • Card has expired

Try using a different card or contact your bank.

I see an unknown charge

Charges from SimpleStaff appear as "SIMPLESTAFF" or "SIMPLESTAFF.COM" on your statement. Check Settings → Billing → Invoices to see all charges. If you see an unfamiliar charge, contact support.

Payment method verification failed

Some cards require additional verification. If prompted, complete the 3D Secure verification with your bank. Make sure pop-ups are enabled in your browser.
