Records, not rules.Certifications in SimpleStaff are a record of what your team holds. We don't block scheduling or shift claiming based on them — how you act on a missing or expired credential is up to you.

How It Works

Turn it on

Certifications are included on the Pro plan. On the Team plan, add them any time for $5/month from your account's add-ons.

Employees add their certifications

From their profile, staff add each certification they hold — name (e.g. "Smart Serve"), who issued it, issue and expiry dates, and an optional copy of the document.

Managers view and maintain

Open any team member to see and update their certifications, or use the team-wide certification roster to see everyone's credentials at a glance. Managers can add or edit on a member's behalf too.

See expiry at a glance

Each certification shows a status — Valid, Expiring soon, or Expired — so nothing slips through the cracks.
